Description We are looking for an experienced Public Staff Tax Accountant to join our team in Boulder, Colorado. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and preparing tax returns for individuals and corporations while leveraging your expertise in public accounting. This is a contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity for career growth in a detail-oriented services environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns with precision and compliance.

• Analyze financial data to ensure accurate tax reporting and adherence to regulations.

• Utilize CCH ProSystem Fx software to streamline tax preparation processes.

• Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documents and clarify tax-related inquiries.

• Develop strategies to optimize tax outcomes for clients while remaining compliant with laws.

• Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and incorporate them into client solutions.

• Provide support during audits and liaise with authorities when necessary.

• Train and mentor entry-level team members to ensure quality and consistency in tax preparation.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of efficient tax procedures and workflows. Requirements • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on income taxation.

• Proficiency in individual and corporate tax return preparation.

• Strong knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx and other tax preparation tools.

• CPA certification or eligibility is preferred.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

• Commitment to staying current with evolving tax laws and industry standards.
