    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team in Bridgewater, NJ. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

    + Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements on a monthly basis.

    + Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

    + Maintain and update financial records, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

    + Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.

    + Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.

    + Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

    + Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and support.

    + Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + CPA or working toward CPA certification.

    + Experience in a corporate environment or shared services center.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

    + Experience: 1–3 years of accounting experience (public or corporate).

    + Skills:Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
