Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. As an integral part of the finance team, you will leverage your expertise in Oracle Fusion and accounting principles to streamline processes and support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Manage fixed asset records, lease schedules, and depreciation calculations while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

• Collaborate with external auditors by coordinating documentation and addressing audit inquiries.

• Generate financial reports, including monthly and quarterly packages, and analyze budget-to-actual variances.

• Assist in inventory costing and margin analysis to support operational decisions.

• Calculate quarterly and annual royalties and contribute to budget preparation and reforecasting efforts.

• Act as the primary user of Oracle Fusion for accounting tasks, ensuring system accuracy and compliance with policies.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency in financial reporting.

• Provide guidance to team members on utilizing Oracle Fusion for accounting and reporting tasks. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems, with strong understanding of account structures and reconciliations.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and the ability to adapt to new software tools.

• Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger processes, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

• Strong analytical skills to perform financial reporting and variance analysis.

• Experience with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and lease management.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with auditors and cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with inventory costing methods and royalty calculations.
