    Description

    Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager consultant to support our eCommerce client on a 5+ month hybrid work schedule (2-days onsite, 3-days remote) interim backfill engagement. Reporting into the Director of Accounting, this individual contributor consultant will take over a desk of recurring corporate accounting responsibilities including performing review. The ideal consultant is expected to thrive in a team environment, possessing strong written and verbal communication, and bring a fresh eye for process improvement opportunities and accounting best practices.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct and review cash reconciliations, merchant reconciliations, prepaids, and fixed assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Assist in financial reporting tasks, including foreign currency translation reviews and preparing intercompany reconciliations for international subsidiaries.

    • Prepare detailed schedules, reconciliations, and reports while reviewing the work of other team members for quality assurance.

    • Respond to audit inquiries by compiling and providing necessary schedules and documentation.

    • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to optimize accounting workflows and align with best practices.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in the eCommerce industry, including merchant reconciliations; wholesale experience is a plus.

    • Strong understanding of US GAAP and eCommerce financial operations.

    • Hands-on experience with intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.

    • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar enterprise-level accounting software such as Dynamics 365, Oracle, etc.

    • Knowledge of Shopify and payment processors like AfterPay, Klarna, Stripe, and experience with multi-currency operations.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

    • Background in public accounting is preferred but not mandatory.

    • Ability to work onsite two days a week in Gardena, California.
