    Job Summary

    The Learning & Development (L&D) Consultant designs and delivers learning experiences that develop JEO employees, build leadership capacity and foster a culture of continuous growth. This role strengthens JEO’s “teach and learn” culture by creating high-quality learning experiences, facilitating programs that build professional skills, leadership capabilities, and by partnering closely with departments to support technical training.

     

    The consultant role combines strong project management, facilitation skills, and proactive communication to build trusting partnerships across the company. This position plays a key role in maintaining and enhancing JEO’s Learning Management System and supporting e-learning content development.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

     

    + Lead the process to discover, design and deliver learning programs that align with JEO’s broader strategic direction and people development priorities.

    + Develop strong, trust-based relationships with JEO leaders, employees and stakeholders to understand needs, priorities, and expected outcomes.

    + Design programs that go beyond information sharing, incorporating professional interaction, relationship building, practical tools, behavior change strategies, skill building and opportunities for employees to connect with others.

    + Facilitate learning sessions with strong understanding and confidence in managing group dynamics, conversation flow, and participant experience.

    + Provide individual and team coaching to support skill development and growth.

    + Lead and support facilitation needs across the company.

    + Engage early and collaboratively with departments on their training initiatives

    + Build organizational awareness and credibility by demonstrating responsiveness, excellent client service, and clear communication.

    + Develop or update e-learning content in the LMS, to optimize learner experience.

    + Maintain and improve digital learning pathways in partnership with the L&D team

    + Manage projects according to internal “client” expectations around quality, timing, and outcomes.

    + Provide direction and support for project Coordinators on logistics, materials, and communication to ensure positive participant experiences.

    + Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Training & Development, Organizational Development, or related field.

    + 5+ years of experience in training, facilitation, instructional design, or organizational development.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

    + Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.

    + Adaptability to evolving internal client needs and direction from the Learning & Development Director.

    + Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

    + Proficient in MS Office products including Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with HR project management or program development.

    + Proficiency with LMS administration (Absorb preferred).

    + Experience designing and facilitating leadership development, professional development, or technical training programs.

    + Background in e-learning content development or instructional design.
