Things You’ll Do

+ Skillfully operate a mainline trackhoe to dig pipeline ditches.

+ Install sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems.

+ Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using instruments such as lasers, grade rods, or transit levels.

+ Layout pipe routes, following blueprints or written instructions and work with supervisors to coordinate layout.

+ Align and position pipes to prepare them for sealing.

+ Cover pipes with earth or other material.

Requirements

+ At least 1 year of experience operating a trackhoe.

+ Ability to bend, sit for long periods, and work in the heat.

+ Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.

+ Ability to safely operate equipment when around team members and utilities, ensuring the safety of all persons, equipment, property, and utilities in the area.

+ Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
