    As a Billing Product Analyst with American Family Insurance, you will provide analysis to help build billing strategy recommendations to division and department leadership based on research, performance data and competitor actions. May specialize in researching competitor products, developing and/or enhancing product/contract language, billing guidelines, and/or analytics.

     

    You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Implementation & Support.

    Position Compensation Range:

    $68,000.00 - $113,000.00

    Primary Accountabilities

    + Provide information to leadership to affect profit and growth plan execution on an ongoing basis.

    + Develop reports, analysis, or recommended strategies related to billing development or enhancements, product language, billing guidelines, processes, and agent business practices.

    + Analyze information and present opportunities to improve billing products practices.

    + Monitor effectiveness of current billing products and recommends enhancements to management.

    + Analyze information to support the formulation and execution of operational plans.

    + Research philosophies and strategies that support growth and long-term profitability goals.

    Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

    + Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.

    + Demonstrated experience with various PC software applications and Microsoft Office products.

    + Solid knowledge and understanding of insurance product design and billing concepts in area of expertise.

    + Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in insurance coverage.

    + Basic knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques and tools.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving

    + Analyze complex billing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

    + Experience with troubleshooting system issues and recommending solutions.

    Requirements Gathering & Documentation

    + Proficient in eliciting, documenting, and validating both business and technical requirements.

    + Can translate our needs into clear, applicable functional specifications for IT teams.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    + Ability to partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, Finance, and Operations.

    + Experienced in facilitating meetings, leading discussions, and building agreement among diverse stakeholders.

    Continuous Improvement Mindset

    + Identify trends, issues, and opportunities to guide ongoing system enhancements.

    Project Management Support

    + Experienced in supporting project planning, tracking, and reporting for system-related initiatives.

    Technical Proficiency

    + Experience with billing software platforms

    + Familiarity with data analysis tools

    + Understanding of systems integrations and API's.

    Travel Requirements •Up to 10%.

     

    Physical Requirements •Work that primarily involves sitting/standing.

    In this hybrid role you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month out of one of the following offices: Madison, WI, Boston, MA, Eden Prairie, MN, Denver, CO, St. Joseph, MO or Phoenix, AZ.
