At the heart of this vision is the Content Ecosystem team, responsible for building the world’s most dynamic and trusted content ecosystem to power the Discover feed.

     

    We are looking for an innovative **Principal Product Manager - Copilot Discover** , to drive our brand and content quality efforts. You will lead AI roadmap that supports the needs of various product teams that leverage our content moderation, understanding and personalization capabilities. You will develop features, technical strategies to improve our trust and safety processes, as well as methods to serve the most relevant content that meet the users’ preferences. You will work closely with policy experts, engineers, design, data scientists, operations, and legal/PR teams to deliver these experiences.

    Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.

    Responsibilities

    + Define the product vision and strategy for brand and content quality across the AI content ecosystem.

    + Collaborate with policy experts and cross-functional partners to establish workflows that analyze, prioritize, and drive initiatives to success.

    + Design scalable frameworks and solutions that address diverse scenarios across partners and use cases.

    + Define, implement, and evaluate policies using AI-driven approaches to strengthen safety standards and continuously improve content quality.

    + Collect and synthesize partner feedback, leveraging metrics to uphold operating standards and refine moderation capabilities.

    + Champion safety standards and policies by educating stakeholders and driving adoption across the organization.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development

    + OR equivalent experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + 2+ years of experience building ML powered or LLM powered products AND Hands-on experience with prompt design and model evaluation.

    + Expertise in managing product roadmap for developing AI models and algorithms.

    + Experience in content management, Trust and Safety, knowledge of new policy development and implementation.

    + Familiarity in customer needs, specifically in the content ranking and personalization domain.

    + Ability to design product solutions based on evidence; proven track record of delivering value-adding products, and/or organizational or process changes that benefit the business.

    + Solid and proven data analysis skills for product design and knowledge of methods for researching and analyzing product designs to determine their potential for meeting organizational standards and business needs.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership on regular cadence.

    Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
