About the role

As a Lead GoLang Developer, you will make an impact by designing and developing scalable backend systems that power critical applications. You will be a valued member of our Technology & Engineering team and collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

In this role, you will:

+ Lead the design and development of backend services using GoLang.

+ Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.

+ Develop APIs and microservices to enable modular and flexible integrations.

+ Containerize applications using Docker and deploy solutions on AWS.

+ Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to Agile methodologies and security best practices.

What you need to have to be considered

+ 10+ years of overall software development experience, with at least 7+ years in GoLang.

+ Strong expertise in system design and architecture for scalable applications.

+ Hands-on experience with MySQL for database design and optimization.

+ Proficiency in Docker for containerization and AWS for cloud deployments.

+ Solid understanding of API design and microservices architecture.

+ Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.

+ Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.

+ Knowledge of security best practices for application and infrastructure.

These will help you stand out

+ Experience with PHP for legacy system integration.

+ Background in healthcare or payment industry domains.

+ Understanding of HIPAA, PII, and PCI DSS compliance standards.

+ Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $65,000 – $134,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
