Job Summary:
The Document Control Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining, and organizing all documentation required by Tampa Brass customers and regulatory standards including AS9100, NADCAP, and NAVSEA. This role manages document revisions, supports quality processes, oversees customer return documentation (RMA), and ensures all records are accurate, compliant, and easily accessible. Works closely with Engineering, Quality, and internal departments to maintain efficient documentation workflows onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage quality documentation, recordkeeping, and document processing.
+ Lead document revision activities and maintain controlled records.
+ Support Engineering with drawing numbering and document accuracy.
+ Administer document changes using Q-Pulse/Visual FAIR systems.
+ Prepare and track change control requests through completion.
+ Maintain customer-required documents, specifications, and quality records.
+ Process and track customer RMAs, including disposition and corrective action documentation.
+ Communicate RMA status and documentation updates to internal teams.
Experience & Skills:
+ 2–3 years Document Control or Quality Documentation experience (Aerospace preferred).
+ Knowledge of AS9100/NADCAP/NAVSEA or similar compliance standards.
+ Strong organizational and project management skills.
+ Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
+ Must be able to work onsite at Tampa Brass facilities.
Performance Expectations (KPIs):
+ 98% of document control requests completed within 1 hour.
+ 95% risk assessments completed within 1 business day.
+ 95% RMA closures within 3 business days.
+ 98% record storage within 1 business day.
+ 80% part process changes completed within 5 business days.
