We are looking for a Research Farm Supervisor that is passionate about agriculture, research, and can lead a team conducting several projects at one time.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in research farming or in farm management; OR
Four years of experience in farming; OR
Eighteen semester hours in an agricultural, plant science, or animal science field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As a Research Farm Supervisor, you will provide supervision of lower level research farm personnel, student employees, and/or seasonal workers to support the research faculty. In this role, you will:
+ Maintain accurate attendance and research records for the Greenhouse, including billing and procuring materials and supplies in support of up to 32 research projects at a time. (30%)
+ Performs advanced greenhouse and project maintenance tasks, including calibrating and adjusting sensitive equipment, calculating chemical application rates, and conducting basic laboratory tests. (20%)
+ Supervises and assigns tasks to employees involved in greenhouse research projects. Oversees plant propagation, health monitoring, equipment operations, and the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment. (15%)
+ Assists the Heavy Equipment Unit, including equipment oversight, task assignment, and project prioritization. Operate machinery such as bulldozers, motor graders, and excavators as needed. (10%)
+ Provide technical supervision and support of other agricultural research areas, including aquaculture and general agricultural research. (10%)
+ Maintains grounds and supports ongoing projects at the Aquaculture Facility. (10%)
+ Performs other duties as assigned. (5%)

+ Appointment Type: This position does not participate in a Career Progression Group.
+ Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
