This role is responsible for directing a team of Facilities Assistants, managing external contractors, and driving continuous improvement in all aspects of facility management. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance, equipment installations, building infrastructure, environmental health and safety, and contract administration.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

+ Lead and supervise all aspects of facility operations for both the office and warehouse—including maintenance, repair, janitorial, security needs, and the daily upkeep and support of all production equipment, building structures, grounds, and utilities.

+ Develop, implement, and supervise preventative maintenance schedules and service contracts for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment

+ Serve as a core member of the Safety Resource Team by managing building safety protocols, coordinating emergency drills for both sites, and ensuring all facilities meet or exceed OSHA, ADA and company standards for health, safety, and the environment.

+ Manage and execute the annual capital facilities budget and related projects, overseeing all planning and spending for facilities operations, utilities, repairs, and improvements while identifying cost-saving opportunities and optimizing resources.

+ Supervise and develop a dedicated team of janitorial and maintenance staff; provide leadership, training, and performance feedback.

+ Manage contractor relationships by creating scopes of work, requesting quotes, overseeing projects, reviewing contractor performance, and negotiating contracts with vendors for maintenance, cleaning, security, and similar services.

+ Oversee space planning and office changes, including relocations, reconfigurations, renovations, and new installations—to use space efficiently and ensure safe, smooth operation

+ Drive sustainability, energy efficiency, and environmentally responsible initiatives across the facilities.

+ Respond promptly and effectively to internal maintenance requests, including emergency situations and after-hours issues, to maintain strong internal customer service levels.

+ Oversee cleanliness and upkeep of all CABVI facilities, making sure entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and all interior spaces are tidy, presentable, and regularly inspected for improvements and compliance

+ Collaborate with the Chief Mission Officer to plan, manage, and execute grant-funded facilities projects.

+ Perform other high-level responsibilities as assigned by the organization.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

+ Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with a history of overseeing multifunctional environments such as office buildings, warehouses, or industrial facilities.

+ High school diploma or GED; an associate’s degree or technical certifications in facilities management, engineering, or a related discipline is highly preferred.

+ Extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including hands-on expertise in production maintenance, predictive and preventative maintenance programs, and root cause analysis.

+ Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance processes, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Bloodborne Pathogens, First Aid, HazMat, fire codes, and working familiarity with ADA and environmental standards.

+ Proven ability to develop and manage operating budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and lead cross-functional project teams to successful outcomes.

+ Superior organizational, multitasking, and analytical abilities, with demonstrated success managing competing priorities and effectively resolving unexpected challenges.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

+ Capability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform or oversee physically demanding tasks as needed.
