Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Enterprise Architect to join a fast-growing client in Dallas, TX. This strategic, hands-on leadership role is responsible for building the Enterprise Architecture (EA) function from the ground up. You’ll define the vision, stand up the EA journey, and establish best practices for technology across all internal business areas and consumer facing technology—consumer, operations, and data/reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

-Stand up and own the EA function; design and implement architecture solutions for both hardware and software.

-Lead architecture conversations and drive technical decisions for public cloud products, cloud-native architectures, API management, Microservices, event-driven architectures, and integrations with SaaS/ERP systems.

-Define the roadmap and journey for EA; establish frameworks, standards, and processes.

-Partner with stakeholders to align technology with business strategy and outcomes.

-Storytell and communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders; strong business acumen required.

-Own all technology domains—consumer-facing, team member tools, and data/reporting systems.

-Design solutions based on functional needs, not specific tech stacks.

-Guide and mentor teams; foster collaboration across a matrixed organization.

-Ensure compliance, scalability, and operational excellence.

Skills and Requirements

-10+ years leading large-scale technology architecture/software engineering.

-5+ years building or leading enterprise architecture functions.

-Experience in retail, hospitality, B2C, QSR, - must have exposure to multi-unit operations.

-Proven ability to institutionalize EA models in agile, distributed environments.

-Technical depth in both hardware and software; able to design and implement solutions independently.

-Mastery of EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman).

-Experience with cloud, APIs, microservices, SaaS/ERP integrations.

-Strong communication, business acumen, and stakeholder management.

-Bachelor’s degree in STEM; Master’s preferred.
