Role Overview: The Piping Assistant plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient preparation and quality of components for assembly lines. This position encompasses two primary responsibilities: Pipe Cutter and Braze Joint Cleaner. The Pipe Cutter is responsible for cutting all pipes required for both assembly lines, while the Braze Joint Cleaner cleans, polishes, and dimples pipe in preparations for brazing.

1. Pipe Cutter:
- Cut pipes according to specified lengths and dimensions for use in manufacturing processes.
- Ensure accuracy and quality in pipe cutting to meet production requirements
- Maintain equipment used for pipe cutting and perform routine checks to ensure operational efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while handling and cutting pipes.
2. Braze Joint Cleaner:
- Clean, polish and dimple pipe for braze precautions.
- Load bins with precut piper for sub assembly piping.
- Inspect cleaned joints for cleanliness and proper finish.
- Apply paint or protective coatings to braze joints as per quality specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools used for cleaning and painting braze joints.
3. General Responsibilities:
- Learn and understand Automated Saw Programs
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in other manufacturing tasks as needed, such as assembly line support or material handling.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals.
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently to contribute to overall manufacturing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and follow directions accurately.
- Proficient communication and listening skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for precise measurements.
- Capability to operate equipment effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
