Job Description
The HCM Analyst - Reporting and Development is responsible for leading projects and delivering accurate, insightful reports and dashboards to support management and employees in meeting business needs. This role oversees the design, maintenance, testing, and deployment of reporting solutions, ensuring they are scalable and effective. The analyst proactively researches, applies analytical thinking, and drives continuous improvement to enhance reporting capabilities. Additionally, this position contributes to building custom applications using Workday Extend and/or integrations to streamline business processes and improve organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Review Workday releases and identify opportunities to leverage new features and functionality to improve and support business objectives for reporting, calculated fields, and dashboards.
* Perform ad hoc reporting projects, as needed.
* Maintain awareness of current trends in Workday Reporting, proactively monitor best practices, and make recommendations to report writers through knowledge gained in Community, Workday Slack, and the customer sharing movement group.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams, including HR, Payroll, Benefits, Learning, Time Tracking, and Talent, to perform data analysis.
* Assist in the design, development, and implementation of custom applications using Workday Extend, supporting the delivery of scalable and effective solutions.
* Use ServiceNow to prioritize and respond to case questions by collaborating with functional leaders to ensure report requirements are met in a timely fashion.
* Other duties and projects, as assigned.
* Lead projects for reporting and dashboards based upon leadership requests.
* Ensure compliance with data visibility standards and maintain knowledge of permissible data access for employees.
* Develop and maintain simple to complex reports and visualizations, including but not limited to advanced, matrix, minimal composite reports, and dashboards utilizing Workday Report Writer, Worksheets, and Discovery Boards, as well as other tools.
* Support the development and upkeep of Workday integrations including orchestrations to enhance business process efficiency and ensure smooth data integration.
* Participate in Agile Team planning sessions to plan the roadmap and identify cross-team dependencies.
* Partner in the evaluation, selection, planning, design, implementation, training, and support for Workday (and other vendors, as needed) tools that relate to the reports and calculated fields for the team.
* Provide guidance and training to end users who can execute reports and schedule the needed reports for those who do not have access.
Requirements
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline, including but not limited to Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, etc, preferred
Experience:
* Experience in HCM Reporting or Workday report writing, preferred.
* Experience in software development or code based platforms may be used in lieu of Workday experience.
Computer Skills:
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SQL Script, VBA, Power BI, or other BI tools and other statistical analysis tools, preferred

Other Details
Work Hours:
* Generally, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload. This position is located in Fort Smith, AR and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Travel Requirements:
* Minimal (0-25%)
Compensation:
* This is a salary position paid biweekly.
