The OEM Field Engineer works closely with the Safran Cabin Inc. teams in Garden Grove to ensure on-time deliveries to Safran Cabin France for stock replenishment orders (REP), as well as to end customers for direct shipments (DROP). The role serves as the key interface between the Supply Chain teams of Safran Cabin Inc. and Safran Cabin France, with a central function in coordination, communication, and resolution of delivery delays.
Main Responsibilities
Management of late deliveries:
- Work with the Demand Managers at Safran Cabin Inc. to identify root causes.
- Define a reliable recovery plan (burn-down plan) and a medium-term action plan.
- Monitor execution to ensure that the new committed dates are met.
In case of deviation: inform the Safran Cabin France counterpart and escalate to the Program Directors and the Intercompany Flow Manager, while challenging managers to obtain an appropriate action plan.
Priority management:
- Align priorities jointly with Safran Cabin France and ensure their execution by the local teams.
Severely overdue deliveries (less than 3 months late):
- Identify root causes with Safran Cabin Inc. managers.
- Secure a clear action plan and monitor its implementation.
- Ensure weekly follow-up of the action plan and reporting, with escalation to France and Inc. General Managers when required.
Day-of shipment coordination:
- Ensure MUST SHIP lines (DROP and REP) are ready for dispatch:
- Physical flow: parts shipment
- Information flow: invoices, tracking numbers, Airway Bill
Continuous improvement:
- Define and lead improvement initiatives with Safran Cabin Inc. managers.
- Track issue resolution, corrective actions, and recovery plans.
- Lead Kaizen workshops, improvement sessions, or DMAIC projects.
Reporting and KPIs:
- Daily: update the local dashboard.
- Monthly: co-lead the performance review with Safran Cabin France, involving General Managers and Supply Chain Directors, to: Consolidate monthly KPIs, Track ongoing projects, Identify blocking points requiring escalation, Analyze operational risks

The VIE assignment in Garden Grove (California, USA) is scheduled to start in May 2026. A preparation period will be organized beforehand at the Colomiers site, prior to the one-year mission in Garden Grove.
Parlons de vous
You hold a Master's degree (engineering school, business school, or equivalent university program) with a specialization in Supply Chain, logistics, or industrial management. You have a solid understanding of inter-company flows, MRP/ERP processes, and key logistics performance indicators (OTD, backlog, aging, etc.). You also have proven experience in problem-solving and driving corrective actions.
From a technical standpoint, you are proficient with ERP systems, have strong skills in data analysis and reporting (advanced Excel, Power BI…), and have an in-depth understanding of procurement, planning, shipping, and intercompany coordination processes. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, DMAIC, or Lean is also expected.
You demonstrate excellent communication skills and are comfortable working transversally across multiple entities (France / US). Analytical, rigorous, and results-oriented, you are proactive and able to challenge stakeholders constructively. You can manage multiple priorities and handle critical situations (urgent deliveries, customer escalations), showing natural leadership even without direct hierarchical authority.
Finally, a fluent professional level of English is essential for daily interactions with the Garden Grove teams.
