    The Recreational Engagement Specialist is responsible for maintaining a creative and fun, therapeutic learning environment for Venture Together’s Day Habilitation program participants.

     

    Venture Together, Inc. is a private non-profit organization that provides support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer residential, day, community habilitation, respite and employment services, an equestrian program as well as an integrated summer camp.

    Agency Requirements

    Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the agency’s insurance company driving standards. Must successfully participate in Orientation and pass all required testing.

    RECREATIONAL ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Recreational Engagement Specialist is responsible for maintaining a creative and fun, therapeutic learning environment for Venture Together’s Day Habilitation program participants.The Recreational Engagement Specialist develops and implements both individualized and small group technology-based activities. The Recreational Engagement Specialist is responsible for scheduling use of the Technology Center and to maintain the equipment and devices.

     

    The Recreational Engagement Specialist reports to the Director of Day Habilitation Programming

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and knowledge of various technology devices and applications. Must be able to teach individuals with developmental disabilities how to use and enjoy technology. Bachelors Degree preferred.

     

    Position # 608-06

     

    Salary Range: $19.50 – $21.50 per hour

     

    Monday – Friday: 9:30 am – 3:30 pm
