    The Graise Hawkeye Team is responsible for ensuring the Point of Sale (POS), SCO system is robust, reliable, and production-ready. The team focuses on functional, integration, and non-functional testing (NFT), including performance and resilience assessments, to validate the system's quality. Comprising skilled QA professionals and SDETs, the team works collaboratively to anticipate and address complex engineering and business challenges. Their responsibilities include test planning, automation, bug tracking, regression testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery. By maintaining high testing standards and continuously improving processes, the team plays a vital role in delivering a performant and resilient POS system to meet business and customer needs.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Develop, configure, and automate functional/integration and performance tests, including designing, prototyping, deploying, and executing tests for an enterprise-class, multi-concept, 3-tier POS system.

     

    - Build and maintain test frameworks that support both QA and Dev teams in their testing efforts, ensuring seamless integration and scalability across various environments.

     

    - Collaborate on automation strategies to streamline functional/integration and performance test coverage, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of both QA and development teams.

     

    - Automate the collection, analysis, and reporting of results from functional/integration and performance tests, ensuring transparency and actionable insights for all stakeholders.

     

    - Apply research, information gathering, and analytical skills to validate test results, analyze calling patterns, and optimize testing processes for better performance and coverage.

     

    - Design and implement test scenarios and test cases to simulate real-world conditions, ensuring comprehensive testing across various QA and performance testing environments.

     

    - Work closely with engineering and application POD teams to identify and resolve high-impact issues, fostering collaboration between QA and development to improve overall product quality.

    The Graise Hawkeye Team engages in a variety of activities daily to ensure the quality, performance, and resilience of the Point of Sale (POS) system. The team focus on creating detailed test plans, developing both manual and automated test cases, and performing comprehensive functional, integration, and non-functional testing, including performance and scalability assessments. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is a cornerstone of their work, enabling them to troubleshoot issues effectively and ensure alignment on deliverables. They also manage test environments, track and resolve defects, and conduct regression testing to maintain the integrity of existing features. By analyzing test results, providing insights, and continuously improving processes, the team ensures the POS system is production-ready and aligned with business goals.

    The Graise Hawkeye Team plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and readiness of the Point of Sale (POS) system. Our mission is to validate that every component of the POS system meets the highest standards of performance, resilience, and production readiness.

     

    Our team leverages a comprehensive testing approach, focusing on both functional and integration testing, as well as non-functional testing (NFT). By doing so, we aim to proactively identify, prevent, and address complex engineering and business challenges before they impact end users.

     

    The team consists of a talented group of Quality Assurance (QA) professionals and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs), who work collaboratively to simulate real-world scenarios, develop automated test frameworks, and ensure seamless functionality across the POS ecosystem.

     

    Through our rigorous testing methodologies and commitment to excellence, team serves as a critical partner in delivering robust, efficient, and high-quality POS solutions.

    Basic Qualifications

    - 2+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience

     

    - 1+ years of test automation frameworks and tools building experience

     

    - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

     

    - Experience in penetration testing and exploitability-focused vulnerability assessment

     

    - Experience in platform-level security mitigations and hardening for Linux and Windows

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment

     

    - Experience with security in service-oriented architectures and web services

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
