    CNC Machinist

    **Pay range:** $24 - $33 per hour, depending on experience.

    **Type:** Temp-Perm or Direct Hire position

    **Location:** 37406 near downtown Chattanooga

     

    We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for an opportunity at a Chattanooga, TN facility, conveniently located near downtown.

     

    In this role, you will set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines and machining centers to fabricate both metallic and nonmetallic parts. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex machinery in a fast-paced environment.

     

    **MUST HAVE:** Must be able to operate both vertical and horizontal lathes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Interpret blueprints, sketches, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.

    + Plan sequence of operations and set up requirements for machining tasks.

    + Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or parts.

    + Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials on machines (mills, lathes, jib borers, grinders, etc.).

    + Calculate and set machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth/angle of cut.

    + Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions, and make necessary adjustments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

    + At least 2 years of CNC Machinist experience.

    + Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    + Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    + **Preferred:** Experience in a medium to large plant environment.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

    + Ability to stand for extended periods.

    **Pay Details:** $24.00 to $33.00 per hour
