Job Title: General Production Worker

**Pay rate:** 1st shift $16.50/hr, 2nd shift $18.15/hr

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a full-time role manufacturing garage doors. This is a long-term position with a 90-day contract-to-hire agreement. Our busy season aligns with the construction industry, peaking in the summer months.

Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret tape measures and operate hand and power tools.

+ Perform mathematical operations such as addition and subtraction.

+ Engage in physical tasks such as bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching, with a team lift requirement of 100lbs.

+ Clean the work area and properly store tools.

+ Assemble sections of garage doors, including adding bottom seals, end caps, and panels, as well as labeling and teamwork.

+ Read and follow orders for production tasks.

+ Hand-load trucks without the use of a forklift.

+ Unload incoming shipments and verify receipt of all shipments.

+ Replenish and transfer materials to various departments.

+ Maintain a clean work environment and manage materials, including inventory management, product replenishment, and material tracking using Excel.

+ Communicate effectively with suppliers regarding materials.

+ Perform assembly work on windows, use routers to cut panels, and install seals.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read a tape measure.

+ Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.

+ Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations.

+ Physical ability to handle heavy lifting and perform manual tasks.

+ Experience with assembly and packaging processes.

+ Familiarity with inspection practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED is required.

+ At least 1-3 months of experience in manufacturing.

Work Environment

Work in a manufacturing environment with two shifts available: 1st shift from 7am to 3pm and 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm, with potential overtime and weekend work. Steel toe footwear, jeans, and a work shirt are required, and cut-resistant sleeves will be provided. Training is conducted on your assigned shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.15/hr.
