Job Title: Service Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing petroleum dispensing equipment. Experience in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical systems is essential. You will utilize laptop computers for diagnosing and troubleshooting some equipment. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with other technicians, site operators, and site owners are required. Paid on-the-job training will be provided for qualified applicants. Candidates must be able to obtain a commercial driver’s license. All field personnel are subject to drug and alcohol testing.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic equipment.
+ Perform diagnostic analysis.
+ Assist in the installation of new petroleum dispensing equipment.
+ Repair and correct malfunctions as necessary.
+ Update equipment when required.
+ Maintain tools, test equipment, and materials in a professional manner.
+ Work with processes that are unique or peculiar to specific customer needs.
+ Advise customers on the use, operation, and maintenance of equipment.
+ Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
Essential Skills
+ Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage control circuits.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Technical knowledge required to perform the job.
+ Excellent employee and customer relations skills.
+ Neat and clean in appearance.
+ Excellent driving record and ability to obtain a CDL.
+ Ability to lift 25 pounds to 100 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in electrical troubleshooting, diagnostic analysis, electro-mechanical systems, and 220V circuits.
+ Experience with installation, servicing, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
+ Diagnosis and troubleshooting experience.
+ Experience working with fuel pumps.
+ Willingness to obtain CDL license within 6 months.
+ Openness to travel for the job (up to 3-4 days weekly, 2-3 times monthly).
+ Hotel per diem offered when traveling.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manhattan, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
