Job Title: Shop Foreman** **Job Description

Lead and assign tasks to a team of mechanics and fabricators while managing repairs on trucks and trailers. Ensure safety protocols are enforced and oversee inventory management and equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor project timelines to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.

+ Conduct quality control checks before trailers leave the shop.

+ Provide technical guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to supervise and lead a maintenance team.

+ Strong experience with trailer and truck maintenance, including repairs and troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

+ Strong overall mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in trailer repair, fabrication, or related heavy-equipment maintenance.

+ Leadership experience is a must.

+ Proficiency with shop tools and diagnostic equipment.

+ Excellent organizational skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency.

+ Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, vendors, and customers.

+ Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. CDL A with Tank and hazmat preferred but not required.

Work Environment

You will be working alongside the Maintenance Manager and 5-6 other technicians. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with potential on-call responsibilities. Expect an industrial type clothing dress code and a 1-hour lunch break.

This is a Permanent position based out of Chester, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.

• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance (with opt out payment option of $3,000).

• 5 sick and personal days.

• Vacation - 1 week after the first year, 2 weeks after the second year and 3 weeks after the fifth year.
