    Job Title: Mechanical Manager** **Job Description

     

    We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Hands-On Mechanical Manager to lead and support field operations in mechanical construction projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, pipefitting, and welding, along with proven leadership skills to manage crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality work on schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and supervise mechanical crews on construction sites.

    + Coordinate daily work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress.

    + Train and mentor team members in HVAC installation, pipefitting, and welding techniques.

    + Perform hands-on work including HVAC system installation, pipefitting, and welding as needed.

    + Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and specifications.

    + Ensure all mechanical work meets code requirements and project standards.

    + Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.

    + Monitor material usage and inventory; coordinate procurement with purchasing teams.

    + Assist in estimating labor and material costs for mechanical scopes of work.

    + Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.

    + Conduct inspections and quality checks on mechanical systems.

    + Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts on-site.

    Essential Skills

    + High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in mechanical trades preferred.

    + Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical construction, with expertise in HVAC, pipefitting, and welding.

    + At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

    + Strong understanding of mechanical codes, safety regulations, and construction practices.

    + Ability to read and interpret construction documents and mechanical schematics.

    + Proficiency with tools and equipment used in HVAC, pipefitting, and welding.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + OSHA 30 certification.

    + EPA Universal Certification for HVAC.

    + NCCER or equivalent trade certifications.

    + Experience with commercial and industrial construction projects.

    Work Environment

    Work will take place on new construction sites and renovation projects, both outside in the elements and in buildings still being completed. Employees must adhere to PPE standards.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Nahunta, GA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
