    Job Title: Plumber Helper

    Job Description

    As a Plumber Helper, you will engage in underground and new construction work. You will work with PVC, cast iron pipe, and no hub while installing a drain waste and vent system. You should be capable of cutting and threading pipe and reading blueprints and specifications. Your proficiency in rough-ins, both above ground and underground, and in finishing or trimming out installations for use, is essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist in underground and new construction plumbing work.

    + Work with PVC, cast iron pipe, and no hub systems.

    + Install drain waste and vent systems.

    + Cut and thread pipes as required.

    + Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

    + Perform rough-ins for vents, sewers, connections, and waterlines.

    + Complete finish or trim installations to make them ready for use.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in construction and mechanical plumbing.

    + Proficiency in piping, blueprint reading, and pipe installation.

    + Familiarity with PVC, PEX, CPVC, and cast iron materials.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Braze and solder skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Work on a new construction site, starting in the underground phase. You should be comfortable working in the elements and alongside other contractors. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with some opportunities for overtime.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL 34240.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
