Job Title: Machine Operator** **Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately measuring beams of steel and metal, operating an auto saw machine primarily focusing on laser machines, and utilizing hand and power tools for assembling various products.
Responsibilities
+ Utilize a tape measure to measure beams of steel and metal to customer order size.
+ Operate an auto saw machine to cut pieces to length, with a focus on laser machine operation.
+ Operate a laser machine and set up hand and power tools to assist in assembling carts, pallets, and other products.
+ Receive training on operating robotic welding machines.
+ Leverage a strong machine operating background to master niche machines through provided training.
Essential Skills
+ Machine operating experience, especially in laser operation.
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints.
+ Ability to use micrometers and calipers.
+ Experience with saw operation.
+ Capability to lift 50lbs.
+ Mechanically inclined with the ability to read a tape measure.
+ Willingness to cross-train between machinery and job duties.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with shop equipment.
+ Heavy manufacturing background.
+ Forklift experience is a plus.
+ Previous experience with saws, drill press, or deburring products.
+ Any machine operating background from GMP to metals/heavy manufacturing is beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a medium-sized facility dedicated to metal fabrication, equipped with a state-of-the-art air quality system and scheduled for professional cleaning. The main building houses raw materials, saw operation, multiple robotic welders, welding booths with MIG welders, press brakes, laser cutting, and manifold assembly. Across the street, the second building focuses on automation and panel building, with flexible lead areas, braiding machines, assembly benches, and a small classroom for customer training. Join a growing team of 36 permanent employees, with anticipated growth in headcount.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
