Overview:

This role is ideal for early-career professionals who are passionate about RF and microwave design and eager to contribute to the development of high-performance electronic systems. The successful candidate will work on the design, simulation, and testing of RF amplifiers, filters, and microwave components across a wide frequency range.

Description:

+ Design and simulate RF and microwave circuits including power amplifiers, LNAs, filters, and matching networks (30 MHz to 6 GHz).

+ Develop and optimize RF power amplifier designs with output power levels ranging from 20 to 50 watts.

+ Perform circuit simulations using Keysight ADS or similar tools.

+ Create and maintain schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or equivalent ECAD software.

+ Conduct hands-on testing and validation of RF designs using standard lab instrumentation (VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc.).

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF designs into larger systems.

+ Support power supply design and integration for RF subsystems.

+ Assist in the development and testing of systems involving microcontrollers and CPLD devices.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

+ 2–5 years of hands-on experience in RF/microwave design and lab testing.

+ Proficiency in RF simulation tools (e.g., Keysight ADS, AWR, HFSS).

+ Familiarity with ECAD tools (Altium Designer preferred).

+ Experience with RF instrumentation and measurement techniques.

+ Knowledge of LNA and power amplifier design principles.

+ Understanding of power supply design fundamentals.

+ Exposure to embedded systems involving microcontrollers and CPLDs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
