    Quality Compliance Specialist

    Job Description

    As a Quality Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring vendor compliance with company policies, procedures, and finished product standards. You will assist in the implementation and improvement of global quality and food safety programs, providing valuable support to the QA & Regulatory Department.

    Responsibilities

    + Support and maintain vendor compliance for QA & Regulatory Department, including handling safety data sheets, allergen, GMO, kosher, Halal, Prop 65, labeling documentation, regulatory certificates, and finished product standards.

    + Support and maintain regulatory documentation for all vendors, including HACCP, kosher, recall policy, FDA compliance, FDA standards, certificates of information, 3rd party regulatory documentation, and questionnaires.

    + Support and maintain regulatory documentation for all finished products, including HACCP, kosher, recall policy, FDA compliance, FDA standards, certificates of information, 3rd party regulatory documentation, and questionnaires.

    + Work within the quality lab and assist with testing, quality control, and general lab work.

    + Collaborate with various teams to ensure process and regulatory compliance.

    Essential Skills

    + Compliance and quality assurance expertise

    + Quality audit and customer support experience

    + Regulatory knowledge

    + BS/BA in food science, chemistry, or related field

    + 2-5 years of experience in documentation and lab work

    + Experience in regulatory compliance and risk management

    + Data entry proficiency

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Ability to improve vendor systems

    + Vendor-facing experience

    + Lab experience

    You will collaborate with the quality, lab, and leadership teams to ensure process and regulatory compliance. This family-owned company offers ample opportunities for growth and development, providing exposure to the entire business process and close collaboration with all departments. This position is based out of Newport News, Virginia; working Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4:30 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport News, VA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
