    We are seeking a Senior Field Representative to conduct field visits to job sites to observe and evaluate construction work. This role involves multidiscipline projects, including pump stations, water treatment plants (WTP), and wastewater treatment plants (WWTP).

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct field visits to job sites to observe and evaluate construction work.

    + Coordinate and oversee material testing on soil, concrete, bituminous, and aggregate materials according to prescribed procedures.

    + Monitor construction schedules and ensure activities comply with contract documents.

    + Approve payment estimates prepared by contractors and produce accurate and concise quantities, daily reports, and related documents.

    + Organize and process project records, and monitor site safety of personnel.

    + Ensure all equipment and materials incorporated into the work are in accordance with shop drawings and specifications.

    + Assist Project Managers in preparing Request for Quotations, Change Orders, and Request for Information.

    + Process project records on computers, including material generated by others.

    + Observe and document individual equipment startups for compliance with contract documents.

    + Make informed decisions based on previous experience when appropriate.

    + Attend and facilitate preconstruction meetings and progress review meetings.

    + Communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, contractors, clients, and the public.

    Essential Skills

    + 10 plus years of experience as a Field Representative, Construction Inspector, Construction Observer, or Site Engineer.

    + 5 or more years of experience on Water, Wastewater projects, or similar.

    + Ability to read and interpret Construction documents, plans, and specifications.

    + Proficient in report writing.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Civil Engineering or similar degree.

    + 10 plus years of experience.

    + EIT or PE certification.

    Work Environment

    Work primarily in the field, mostly within the Metro Detroit area. Work hours typically are Monday through Friday, 8-10 hours per day, with occasional Saturdays if projects are behind schedule.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield Hills, MI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
