    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chemical Operator to join our team. The role involves operating chemical compounding equipment to create precise chemical reactions. You will be responsible for following specific batch sheets and documenting all relevant information throughout your daily activities. Accuracy in measuring raw materials and ensuring safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials is crucial.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate chemical compounding equipment to facilitate chemical reactions.

    + Follow specific batch sheets and document all related information.

    + Use measuring equipment to weigh raw materials accurately.

    + Safely handle and dispose of regulated waste, wastewater, and hazardous materials.

    + Perform mathematical calculations to ensure correct proportions and percentages are used.

    + Conduct quality control checks on finished materials, in-process materials, and raw materials as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in batching, blending, and compounding.

    + Ability to follow batch sheets, formulas, or instruction/ingredient lists.

    + Proficiency in operating production equipment beyond basic functions.

    + Knowledge of chemical compounding and related processes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with blending, batching, and compounding.

    + Familiarity with formula and batch sheets.

    + Understanding of raw materials and ingredients.

    + Knowledge of sanitation and CIP processes.

    Work Environment

    The work environment is generally clean, though some areas may be dirty or hot. Operators will work with furnaces that can become hotter during operation and will need to enter hooded areas for certain processes. Comfort with hotter environments, dirtier areas, and hazardous materials is necessary. The team consists of seven individuals, with a fully staffed team ranging from 12 to 15 across three shifts. Collaboration with others is essential. This is a 3rd shift position with hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime. Training will occur on the 1st shift prior to starting the 3rd shift. The role requires adherence to safety processes, standards, and ISO regulations.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $26.25/hr.
