Job Title: Marine Construction Project Manager / Estimator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Construction Project Manager / Estimator to join our team. This role involves leading contract negotiations, managing project documentation, coordinating work activities, overseeing procurement, identifying business opportunities, preparing estimates and proposals, and transitioning successful bids to active projects.
Responsibilities
+ Lead all contract negotiations and the identification and negotiation of change orders.
+ Develop, prepare, and manage all submittals and required project documentation.
+ Coordinate self-performed and subcontracted work activities with onsite Superintendent.
+ Oversee the procurement and acquisition of materials, ensuring quality control of deliverables to projects.
+ Develop and implement process improvements to maintain a competitive edge in client relations and development.
+ Identify opportunities on bid sites and via relationship leads.
+ Sign up and attend on-site visits.
+ Prepare bid/no bid recommendations for management's final review and decision-making.
+ Prepare, manage, and engage in bid reviews as an active participant.
+ Review plans and specifications to complete comprehensive quantity take-offs.
+ Identify associated costs, such as labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment.
+ Collaborate with Operations Managers to acquire estimates for durations, crew sizes, and equipment requirements.
+ Identify and communicate project-specific risks and suitable means and methods for project execution.
+ Review all contracts as assigned.
+ Negotiate and finalize subcontracts as necessary for all projects under consideration.
+ Facilitate the transition of estimates into project budgets.
+ Lead the submittal process and the documentation reporting required for projects.

+ 5+ years experience estimating small heavy civil construction projects (100k+ value)
+ Proficiency in preparing, managing, and engaging in bid overviews
+ Proficiency in reviewing plans and specifications to complete comprehensive quantity take-offs

+ CAD Drafting
+ CAD Design
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
+ Experience with estimating software
+ Experience in construction estimating and bidding
+ Working knowledge of standard construction practices and regulations/laws
+ Ability to engage in all stages of the estimating and bidding process
+ Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of management, clients, and government officials
+ Proficient in verbal, written, and electronic communications
+ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
+ Experience in computer-aided design (CAD) and drafting (Preferred)
+ 5-15 years in Marine Construction (Preferred)
+ 5-15 years of estimating Small Heavy Civil Construction Projects (Preferred)

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spokane, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
