    Accounting Clerk – Construction Industry

     

    Compensation: $24 - $28 hourly

    Overview:

    We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to handle entry-level finance and administrative functions within our construction business. This role supports accurate recordkeeping and assists the accounting team in daily operations.

    Responsibilities:

    + Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders for construction projects

    + Enter and maintain financial data in accounting software systems

    + Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable and accounts receivable

    + Match, code, and file project documentation such as receipts and vendor statements

    + Track payments to subcontractors and suppliers and reconcile discrepancies

    + Support month-end close activities, including account reconciliations

    + Respond to inquiries from internal teams regarding payments and documentation

    + Maintain organized digital and physical files for audit and compliance purposes

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in accounting or business preferred

    + 1+ years’ experience in an accounting or clerical environment, ideally in construction

    + Working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel

    + Effective communication and time management skills

    + Familiarity with basic financial principles
