What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.

+ Monitor for and report any suspicious activity or security-related issues within the educational environment.

+ Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or authorization for entry to designated areas.

+ Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations and/or lockdowns as needed.

+ Prepare and submit detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company and client requirements.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized behavior and provide reassurance to staff, students, and visitors.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary to address incidents on the premises.

Minimum Requirements:

+ At least two years of security-related experience is required.

+ An armed guard card or license is required.

+ Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
