    Security Engineer – Third Class Boiler (Omaha, NE)

    A great opportunity for a retired engineer who wants steady work without the stress of a traditional engineering job. This role focuses on monitoring equipment, solving problems, and supporting a safe environment. The pay rate is **$24.50 / hr (non-negotiable)** with an **immediate start** available.

    Required Certification

    + **Third Grade Engineer License – City of Omaha (Boiler Certification)**

     

    Experience & Qualifications

    Preferred Experience

    + **3–5 years** of related work experience.

    Additional Helpful Skills

    + Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

    + Customer service experience.

    + Able to lift up to 20 lbs when needed.

    Schedule Details

    + **Full-Time**

    + **Afternoon/Evening Shift:** 3 PM – 11 PM

    + **Workdays:** Monday through Friday

    What You’ll Do

    Equipment Monitoring

    + Watch boilers, temperatures, pressures, pumps, fans, and air handlers.

    + Keep systems running safely and smoothly.

    Troubleshooting

    + Contact the on-call Facilities Manager when an issue appears.

    + Make minor repairs yourself or use FaceTime for guided support.

    + If needed, the manager will call in a vendor to complete repairs.

    Safety & Customer Support

    + Follow all safety and site-specific procedures.

    + Stay calm and solution-focused when responding to incidents.

    + Perform routine and random patrols around the building and perimeter.

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities

    + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner

    + Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles

    + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience
