    Description

    Join an established real estate investment team as a Property Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper supporting accounting and administrative operations for a portfolio of rental property LLCs. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has proven expertise using Yardi property management software.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Oversee accounting functions for 15–20 rental properties, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

    + Enter, review, and reconcile transactions in Yardi for multiple LLCs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    + Prepare and maintain common area maintenance (CAM) reconciliations and related reporting for tenants/owners.

    + Process rent collections, issue tenant statements, and track security deposits.

    + Manage vendor relations and payment schedules; ensure compliance with lease terms, tenant billing, and recoveries.

    + Communicate regularly with property managers and ownership regarding portfolio financials.

    + Support lease administration and assist with annual budget preparation.

    + Compile monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting packages for management review.

    + Maintain meticulous records and support yearly audits and tax filings.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Minimum 3 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience within property management, real estate, or related industries.

    + Proficient user of Yardi property management software.

    + Solid understanding of real estate accounting, including A/R, A/P, CAM reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.

    + Strong organizational ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

    + Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred.
