    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in virtualization technologies VMware, public cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), and a working knowledge of security practices with a focus on user identity and access management (IAM).

     

    This role will be pivotal in managing their hybrid cloud infrastructure and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable systems to support business operations.

     

    - Design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments using VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Nutanix.

     

    - Architect, implement, and support cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS, including IaaS, PaaS, and storage solutions.

     

    - Maintain and improve security practices across virtualized and cloud environments.

     

    - Collaborate with the InfoSec team to enforce identity and access management (IAM) policies and role-based access controls.

     

    - Implement automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) where applicable (e.g., using Terraform, PowerShell, ARM templates).

     

    - Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.

     

    - Assist in audits, compliance, and governance efforts related to cloud and virtual environments.

     

    - Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    - 3+ years of hands-on experience with a virtualization platform, VMware (preferred) or equivalent.

     

    - 3+ years of experience working with Cloud, Azure and/or AWS infrastructure.

     

    - Working knowledge of identity and access management principles (Azure AD, AWS IAM, SSO, MFA, etc.).

     

    - Understanding of network security concepts (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, NSGs, security groups).

     

    - Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions - Certifications: VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar

     

    - Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.)

     

    - Experience with backup recovery solutions
