    Job Description — Network Engineer (Hybrid)

     

    Compensation: $130,000 – $180,000 base salary + equity

     

    Employment Type: Full-time

     

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. This role will focus on designing, implementing, automating, and supporting our enterprise and cloud network environments. The ideal candidate has strong expertise across Palo Alto and Juniper platforms, cloud networking in AWS, and modern automation frameworks including GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible.

     

    This is a hybrid position based in Torrance, requiring onsite work several days per week.

    Responsibilities

    + Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-prem and cloud environments.

    + Manage and optimize Palo Alto firewalls, VPN appliances, and security policies.

    + Support, configure, and troubleshoot Juniper network switches, routers, and related infrastructure.

    + Build and maintain secure AWS networking, including VPCs, transit gateways, security groups, routing, and connectivity to on-prem environments.

    + Develop network automation solutions leveraging GitOps workflows, Terraform IaC modules, and Ansible playbooks.

    + Implement monitoring, performance tuning, and reliability improvements across all network layers.

    + Support incident response, root cause analysis, and preventative measures related to network or security events.

    + Collaborate closely with infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and security teams to maintain a resilient and scalable environment.

    + Participate in on-call rotation and assist with after-hours changes as needed.

    Requirements

    Required Qualifications

    + 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise or cloud environments.

    + Strong proficiency with Palo Alto Networks firewalls (policy design, NAT, App-ID, threat prevention, Panorama).

    + Strong experience with Juniper networking for routing, switching, and network services.

    + Expertise with Palo Alto VPN appliances, GlobalProtect, and remote access security.

    + Advanced experience with AWS networking (VPC, TGW, VPN, Direct Connect, NACLs, security groups, routing).

    + Proficiency with GitOps, Terraform, and Ansible for automation and configuration management. (open to any but must have one)

    + Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPSec, and network segmentation.

    + Experience in highly available network design, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

    + Ability to work onsite in Torrance several days per week.
