    Central State Hospital (CSH) is in Milledgeville, the lake country of central Georgia and is Georgia’s antebellum capital. CSH is approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Savannah and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Augusta.

     

    Shift: 8am - 5pm

    Job Summary:

    Functions as a lead level HA and performs HA duties, assigned to a specific non-patient unit area at a state mental health hospital.

    Job Description:

    + Acts as resource/may mentor lower-level staff.

    + Perform job responsibilities with minimal supervision..

    + Serve as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas.

    + May supervise and/or direct the work of others.

    + Answer clients' call signals..

    + Assist in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse..

    + Bathe, groom, shave and dress clients.

    + Conduct activities for recreation and socialization.

    + Ensure safety and security of clients.

    + Feed clients who are unable to feed themselves.

    + Implement assigned parts of client individualized treatment and behavior management plans.
