UPMC Williamsport is looking for a General Maintenance 2, Multi-craft Maintenance Technician. This is an evening shift position, from 2:30pm to 11:00pm with every other weekend and occasional holidays.

+ Perform general maintenance work and tasks as directed with minimal supervision.

+ Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment

+ Exhibit a basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry/hardware, mechanical equipment and facilities systems.

+ Maintain a clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.

+ Maintain all written logs pertaining to shift responsibilities, i.e., med gas, equipment room rounds, etc.

+ Maintain water chemistry and testing procedures on equipment and building systems.

+ Operate and maintain a variety of building's direct digital control (DDC) systems.

+ Order materials as needed.

+ Perform all work following infection control procedures.

+ Perform minor carpentry and painting work.

+ Record work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.

+ Minor repairs and maintaining of plumbing fixtures, piping systems, plumbing leaks (soldering), defective pipes and clogged drains.

+ Performs general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.

+ Performs required maintenance, repair and inspection of beds.

+ Ability to perform snow removal activities and work in adverse weather conditions.

+ Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

+ Completion of a high school diploma/GED is required.

+ A total of 2 years of general maintenance-related work experience is required.

+ Healthcare experience is preferred.

+ Completion of a High School Vocational program or Trade School is preferred.

+ Military experience considered.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

+ Driver's License
