In this role, you'll serve both UPMC Shadyside's main CT department and the Hillman Cancer Center, playing a key role in providing exceptional care and diagnostic precision for our patients.

What You'll Do:
+ Perform CT procedures using advanced imaging technology and established scan protocols, including contrast administration.
+ Review patient histories, assess orders, and document procedures accurately in the electronic record.
+ Operate and troubleshoot complex imaging equipment, ensuring all exams are properly coded, archived, and billed.
+ Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders while assessing patients for risk factors.
+ Demonstrate sound judgment in adjusting protocols and applying ionizing radiation safely and effectively.
+ Provide compassionate care-communicating clearly, ensuring comfort, and maintaining patient dignity at all times.
+ Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
+ ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
+ CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired.
+ CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date.
+ CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained.
+ CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
+ CPR or BLS Required.
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
