Peckham, Inc. - WIOA Youth Support Aide
SUMMARY
The WIOA Youth Support Aide provides administrative and program support to WIOA Youth Career Coaches serving Eaton, Clinton, and Ingham counties. This role helps ensure timely enrollment and quality services for youth participants by collecting eligibility documents, providing follow-up support, entering data into required systems (OSMIS and JAGForce), documenting success stories, transporting participants to and from events, and maintaining accurate daily, weekly, and monthly case notes and outcome reports.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Monitor client progress by speaking with participant, career coaches, and community partners
+ Administer assessments to declare basic skills deficiency
+ Communicate effectively with participants, community partners, and CAMW employees
+ Read case notes in OSMIS and pull detailed information on barriers overcome to write quality success stories quarterly
+ Document participant progress within case notes, in a timely manner.
+ Assist participants with O-Net Assessments and Resume Writing
+ Maintain a positive relationship with internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to career coaches, community partners, CAMW Admin, and other CAMW Programming
+ Filing of physical documents for all career coaches/community liaison
+ Assist with Young Professionals Orientation
+ Provide transportation for participants to and from events
+ Verify employment for participants in follow-up stage in databases JAG Force and OSMIS
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain safe and clean work environment
+ Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
+ Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
+ Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ This job has no supervisory responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ 1 year of work experience in administrative support or other relevant field.
+ T his position requires passing and maintaining security background checks.
+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
+ Proficiency in using, or able to learn, SharePoint software.
+ Able to perform basic Windows operations such as saving documents, copy and paste, creating folders, accessing multiple network drives, and searching for files.
+ Proficient typing and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ One to two years of experience supporting or working with individuals that have disabilities
+ Associate’s degree in a related field
TRAVEL
The position may require travel to/from Clinton and Eaton counties (various cities within, but mostly St Johns and Charlotte-areas). The position will require travel for up to 50% of the time.
