    Summary

    Direct Virtualization & Storage staff in support of the following:

    + All aspects of the planning, design, implementation and support of the SRP Virtualization, Storage, and Private Cloud Technologies.

    + Ensuring that production support is completed according to service established service levels

    + Providing troubleshooting and problem resolution

    + Researching and testing new technology and tools for use at SRP

    + Ensure ITIL processes are followed

    + Support and maintain enterprise storage infrastructure technologies such as NetApp, EMC VMAX, and Brocade SAN.

    What You'll Do

    + Directs personnel, administers performance feedback, and levels workload across team

    + Manages employee development

    + Develops projected team budgets

    + Monitors service levels and corrects performance issues as needed

    + Coordinate activities, ensure coverage, and supervise Virtualization & Storage staff

    + Work closely with ITS staff and user community to resolve problems and provide assistance with problem resolution

    + Define and implement procedures for availability of production services

    + Provide technical leadership for technologies supported within Virtualization & Storage staff

    What It Takes To Succeed

    + Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills are essential

    + Proven communication skills, including the ability to listen, and the ability to form productive working relationships

    + Project planning, organizational, and time management skills

    + Ability to successfully deliver technical solutions to business problems

    + Ability to work with business users and IT technical staff in a team environment

    + Ability to direct emergency situations with a calm and focused demeanor

    + Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

    + Proven experience in managing projects

    + Strong organizational skills that support documenting, categorizing, and prioritizing requirements

    + Strong problem solving and conceptual, strategic, and creative thinking abilities

    + Able to work independently and deliver high quality results requirements

    + Project Management, ITIL and Microsoft related certifications preferred

     

    5+ years of experience supporting core infrastructure technologies preferred

     

    Strong knowledge of enterprise Storage & virtualization technologies and experience in designing, deploying and supporting complex IT systems across a converged infrastructure

     

    In depth knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack and how it relates to converged systems

     

    Storage experience in automation and orchestration technologies

    Experience

    A minimum of seven years of related experience is required (if no degree, 11 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 11 years).

    Education

    A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

     

    Hybrid Workplace

     

    SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
