    This position is responsible for driving the commercial success and strategic growth of key product lines within the CoreTech and SolarGard portfolios. The role combines market insight, pricing strategy, and product development leadership to ensure competitive offerings and strong customer engagement. Acting as a central liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, the position translates market needs into actionable strategies, oversees pricing and profitability, and supports technical application expertise. Success in this role requires balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, including customer visits, sales training, and collaboration with R&D and operations to deliver innovative solutions and maintain high service standards.

     

    The role carries global responsibility for Paint Protection Film (PPF), Windscreen Protection Film (WPF), and SolarGard architectural window films, as well as coated technology products manufactured in San Diego. Approximately 50% of the role focuses on CoreTech (PPF & WPF) and 50% on SolarGard (Architectural), spanning multiple manufacturing sites in Worcester, MA; San Diego, CA; and Boeun, Korea. This position requires strong cross-functional leadership to manage product portfolios across regions, align with global manufacturing capabilities, and drive product vision and performance. The role also includes oversight of additional coated product lines produced in San Diego, demanding a blend of strategic market planning, operational coordination, and technical expertise to support worldwide growth.

    Essential Functions:

    + Provide commercial and application leadership for assigned product lines, including technical guidance, pricing strategy, and sales training.

    + Lead product vision and strategy development; identify new product opportunities and justify applications in collaboration with R&D and marketing teams.

    + Manage the product line P&L to R20 targets, ensuring profitability and alignment with business objectives.

    + Partner with operations to set product line priorities, resolve customer-facing quality issues, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

    + Meet with customers to understand application performance, provide product recommendations, and strengthen relationships.

    + Define, manage, and participate in Technical Service Requests (TSRs) for product customization and toolbox development to meet specific customer needs.

    + Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to monitor competition and inform strategic decisions.

    + Communicate product vision and strategy across the organization to ensure alignment and execution.

    Requirements:

    Qualifications

    + Technical Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics ( **Required** )

    + Technical Master’s degree or MBA ( **Required** )

    Experience

    + Minimum 5 years in a web-based manufacturing environment with strong exposure to roll-to-roll manufacturing of plastics, textiles, or paper ( **Required** )

    + Coatings experience with gravure, slot die, web control, and coatings chemistries ( **Required** )

    + Product development experience with Stage Gate and innovation processes ( **Preferred** )

    + Market experience in paint protection film or other coated film-based product lines ( **Preferred** )

    Technical Knowledge

    + Strong chemistry background ( **Required** )

    + Knowledge of SAP and QAD ( **Preferred** )

    + Familiarity with Salesforce ( **Preferred** )

    + Understanding of coating and web handling processes ( **Preferred** )

    + Six Sigma certification or experience ( **Preferred** )

    + Ability to create and evaluate business models ( **Preferred** )

    + Knowledge of roll-to-roll coating and sputtering processes ( **Preferred** )

    Licenses & Certifications

    + PMP Certification ( **Preferred** )

    Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $89,500 to $138,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

     

    In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,200 to $155,100. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
