The Assistant Director of Inpatient Nursing has the accountability for clinical and professional development of the nursing staff in the Med/Surg and ICU unit. In addition, the Assistant Director has the accountability and authority for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care, coordinating and facilitating the provision of quality inpatient and outpatient care and service. He/she collaborates in providing quality patient care, oversees staff performance, systems improvement, clinical oversight and instruction, collaborates with members of the multi-disciplinary health care team to oversee and continually improve patient care systems and processes. He/she participates in setting and implementing Med/Surg and ICU goals, priorities and strategies, assists in budget development and manages to budget after approval. He/she maintains a high level of internal visibility and is responsible for development and ongoing supervision of the staff.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree required.

* Five years of nursing experience

* 2-3 years of progressively responsible management or leadership experience

* 2 years of clinical experience in ICU and Medical/Surgical care.

* Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS verification required.

* Health Care Provider BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

* Valid State Registered Nurse license required.
