The** **Role

Come build the future of self-driving at GM. The Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Microcontrollers (MCUs) team is responsible for developing the embedded platform software that provides the foundation of our AVs. Our software communicates with sensors, provides observability, enables vehicle operation, manages system health, and more.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the AV MCU Platform team, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and deployment of embedded software for the AV. You will leverage your experience with complex embedded systems to deliver highly impactful software, the foundation of world-class AV features and experiences. You will work cross functionally to extract and deliver on the needs of your stakeholders.

What** **You’ll** **Do

+ Design, Develop, and Test Embedded C software forMulti-CoreMicrocontrollers

+ Developwithinanautomotiveembeddedsoftwarestack(BSP, BSW, Application)

+ Create pipelines, tooling, and delivery methods to ensure high-qualityand efficient deployment cycles

+ Work cross functionally to extract design requirements and stakeholder needs

+ Work with the hardware team toreview HW designs

+ Work with the systems team to ensure deliveryofsystems, safety, and security requirements

+ Mentor team members andfacilitatecross-team collaboration toensure overall team success

Your Skills & Abilities

+ BachelorDegreeinSTEMfieldorrelevant workexperience

+ 5+ years of experiencebuilding and shippingproduction quality embedded software

+ Strong backgroundin C Embedded Softwaredevelopment

+ Experience working with RTOS (such as QNX,FreeRTOS, OSEK,etc)

+ Ability to adapt andoperateunder ambiguity, going from quick code prototypes to long-term plans on brief time horizons

+ Excellent communication skills, capable of switching between high-level and detailed discussions

+ Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles,automotive embedded systems, or ADAS development

+ Experience working with AUTOSAR

+ Experience working in a Safety Critical Embedded SoftwareEnvironment (ISO 26262,DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E)

+ Experience developing software that scales to millions of instances andmanagingit **Compensation:** The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington.

+ The salary range for this role is $154,420 to $235,900. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

+ Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
