As a Compliance Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, validating, verifying, and submitting all compliance reports according to government regulatory requirements. Your role will include tracking emission reduction opportunities, identifying out-of-line data, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring all sales volume data is verified for government reports. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with EPA & CARB personnel and develop processes related to regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
+ Identify, track, and monitor all emission reduction opportunities.
+ Analyze and correct out-of-line data by searching through large data sets.
+ Submit yearly EPA & CARB emissions reports using appropriate government website applications.
+ Communicate with EPA & CARB personnel regarding report data.
+ Develop, implement, and audit company processes related to regulatory reporting.
+ Monitor emission reduction credits to detect potential non-compliance.
+ Provide oversight of product validation and ensure test reports are accurate and up-to-date.
+ Interact with product regulatory agencies as needed.
+ Provide letters of compliance for customer requirements.
+ Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary data and information.
+ Monitor federal laws and regulations affecting policies, processes, or products.
+ Represent factual material related to investigations, recalls, or legal matters.
+ Plan and lead product safety and compliance reviews on new and production products.
+ Review documentation for recalls or investigations and approve submissions.
+ Provide standard and regulatory interpretation papers.
+ Manage warranty claim data and analyze to identify contributors to claims.
+ Lead reviews with cross-functional team members to address warranty claims.
+ Utilize findings from claim data analysis to populate a monthly warranty scorecard.
+ Prepare reports and ensure lessons learned are distributed across departments.
+ Capture lessons in controlled documents, e.g., control plans, FMEAs, operator instructions.
+ Participate in design reviews and provide insight from a warranty perspective.
+ Identify and validate root causes and countermeasures for sustainability.

+ Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
+ Typically requires 5 plus years of related experience.
+ Experience with EPA, NHTSA, and CARB preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires working across multiple internal departments and interacting with various regulatory agencies. The work environment is dynamic and may involve high-pressure situations. Travel may be required at times on short notice to meet regulatory and compliance demands. The position involves using various technologies and applications to ensure compliance and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Riverside, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
