    Job Title: Automation & Controls Technician** **Job Description

     

    Join a leading industry company in Auburndale, FL as an Automation & Controls Technician. Be part of a growing team within the maintenance and automation department, where you will build and maintain vital systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform advanced maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

    + Wire and troubleshoot Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

    + Troubleshoot low and high-voltage systems.

    + Install and maintain electrical control panels and wiring systems.

    + Diagnose and repair motors, drives, and relays.

    + Repair components requiring welding, plumbing, or fabrication.

    + Replace high-load components such as bearings, shafts, and actuators.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in electrical and controls systems.

    + Experience in PLC programming and automation troubleshooting.

    + Hands-on experience with VFDs and PLC wiring.

    + Ability to diagnose and repair motors, drives, and relays.

    + Experience with electrical control systems.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Leadership skills and experience.

    + Networking and controls systems expertise.

    + Documentation skills.

    + Experience with CapX projects.

    + Knowledge of ladder logic, conveyors, and sensors.

    + Preventative maintenance experience.

    + Relay logic knowledge.

    Work Environment

    Work in a non-climate controlled automated manufacturing and distribution environment. Be prepared to work 1st and 2nd shifts, with training on the 1st shift. Shift times are 5am to 1:30pm and 1:30pm to 10pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburndale, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
