UNC Health Blue Ridge is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at our Blue Ridge Cancer Center

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Licensure Requirements

+ Completion of an accredited graduate –level Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) program.

+ Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina or eligible.

+ Board certification if required by the Department

Professional Experience Requirements:

+ At least 3+ year as a NP is preferred.- Willing to train new grads

+ Prefer candidates with past experience in Hematology and or oncology setting

Job duties and expectations:

+ See a variety of hematology and oncology patients, including managing a benign hematology caseload

+ See pretreat patients prior to chemotherapy treatments

+ Complete all chemo education with patients prior to new or changing treatments

+ Support the medical oncologist to see any patients that are having symptoms or concerns

+ Review patient labs and test results to approve treatments

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

+ Demonstrated clinical competency.

+ Strong interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

+ Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.

+ Effective interaction and care of patients

+ Documentation of medical records for accurate billing
