    Job Title: Sanitation Technician** **Job Description

     

    The Sanitation Technician team is responsible for performing proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and production areas within the facility.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain regular worksite attendance.

    + Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Processes.

    + Clean and sanitize all equipment, production areas, packaging equipment, warehouse, and food ingredient receiving and shipping areas according to proper protocols and specifications meeting food safety requirements.

    + Inspect, promote, and maintain adherence to food safety cleanliness in the handling of product, ingredients, and finished goods using proper work procedures and compliance with Food Safety Standards.

    + Ensure all chemical containers are correctly labeled.

    + Understand chemical or non-chemical pest control systems.

    + Keep neat, accurate records of all work performed daily.

    + Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.

    + Follow all required work safe practices, including wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, etc.

    + Report any food safety, quality, or safety-related issues to management.

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent

    + Mechanically inclined

    + Willingness to learn, train, and expand skillset

    + Basic computer skills

    + Actively participate in all training offered within the company

    + Physically capable of frequently standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in tight spaces

    + Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manhattan, KS.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
