Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager to oversee daily rail terminal operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role requires hands-on leadership, coordination with railroads and clients, and responsibility for operational performance, training, and incident management.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee daily terminal operations including transloading, switching, and railcar movement.
+ Ensure compliance with FRA, DOT, and EPA safety regulations.
+ Lead and manage teams in diverse environments.
+ Manage customer relationships and act as a liaison between clients and the terminal.
+ Maintain budgeting, profit and loss accountability, and operational efficiency.
+ Perform general labor and construction inspection tasks.
+ Coordinate cleanup and maintenance activities.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction and heavy equipment operation.
+ Proficiency in terminal operations oversight.
+ Knowledge of safety compliance with FRA, DOT, and EPA regulations.
+ Leadership and team management skills.
+ Customer relationship management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 2+ years experience in terminal services or railroad operations.
+ Strong communication and organizational skills.
+ Ability to delegate, influence, and motivate employees.
+ Physically capable of working in demanding outdoor conditions, including lifting, climbing, and walking long distances.
+ High School Diploma/GED required; safety training certifications preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Fulton, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
