    Job Title: Safety Coordinator** **Job Description

     

    Join a fiberglass pipe manufacturing company in Spring, TX as an in-house HSE Specialist. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment by performing daily routine walk-throughs on the production floor, ensuring employees and contractors have proper PPE, properly labeling chemicals, and checking airlines. You will collaborate with third-party health and safety advisors and assist with monthly random walk-throughs. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and procedures aligned with OSHA, ISO, and other regulations, investigate accidents and incidents, and maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct daily routine walk-throughs on the production floor.

    + Ensure employees and contractors have proper PPE, including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hard hats.

    + Ensure chemicals are labeled properly and check airlines.

    + Collaborate with third-party health and safety advisors.

    + Assist with monthly random walk-throughs.

    + Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and procedures aligned with OSHA, ISO, and other regulations.

    + Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.

    + Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years' HSE Coordinator/Specialist experience.

    + 3+ years' experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

    + Experience performing in-house inspections and walk-throughs.

    + Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.

    + Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Hazard Control Manager (CHCM) designation.

    + CPR and first aid certification.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    + 40-hour OSHA certificate.

    Work Environment

    Work in a non-climate controlled fiberglass manufacturing facility where the production floor can be hot. The role involves working Monday through Friday, 5 am to 5 pm, with 10 to 12-hour shifts. Occasional Sunday work and night shift surprise check-ins (1-2 per month) may be required.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring, TX.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
